RECEIVING, SORTING & DRYING
As we receive wood shipments from our suppliers, every load is subject to a careful quality audit. We start with a physical sampling to test for excessive knots and undersized dimensions. Then we test for the humidity content of the wood to determine how long it will have to dry in order to be ready to receive a proper treatment.
The drying process is absolutely key to a stake lasting longer. At SERPROMA every stake is dried until a humidity level of 25% or less is achieved. It is the only way to guarantee that the wood will accept the preservative treatment. We are the only stake manufacturer ion Honduras that dries every stake we sell.
