Serproma is also an engaged and socially responsibe member of our community. Our charitable projects focus on improving the quality of life for our communities. Each of our projects is implemented with the active participation of our employees in order to raise awareness of the needs that affect the poor and disadvantaged across Honduras.

COLONIA CHIQUITA USULA

The Chiquita Usula neighborhood of La Lima also received a donation consisting of a coil of wire for the completion of a perimeter fence in order to combat common crime prevailing in the area. SERPROMA aware of the safety issue presented their donation to the neighborhood members of the BOT in the month of October 2012. With this effort SERPROMA seeks to protect the settlers of a current scourge of our society.

SERPROMA collaborated by donating new matressess to the nursery center and also for older children in the rest area. A new refrigerator was donated helping greatly with the real needs of the center. The donations were received by the Director Ms. Cabrera Danelia Umana and social worker Ms. Nora Rosales in the month of January 2013.

FARM OF THE CHILD

Since its foundation, SERPROMA has worked with the project FARM OF THE CHILD (www.farmofthechild.org) located in the city of Trujillo in the department of Colón.

The purpose of this project is to protect and improve the physical, educational, spiritual and social needs of orphaned, abandoned and neglected children in Honduras to become productive members of Honduran society.

The contributions are made for the security for the farm, monetary donations for various internal projects undertaken and especially volunteers who make the journey from the United States. All donations made by SERPROMA are delivered to the authorities of the Finca del Niño.
